Sketchy Survival 101 ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This site is a simple content publication. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask you for personal information to read our articles.
Information we collect
We do not directly collect names, email addresses, or payment information through this website. We do not sell personal data. The only information involved comes from standard, automated sources:
- Server and analytics logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider and any analytics we use may record non identifying technical data such as your browser type, approximate region, the pages you visit, and the time of your visit. This helps us understand which articles are useful.
- Cookies from third parties. If you click an affiliate link or interact with an embedded video, the destination service (for example, a retailer's affiliate network or YouTube) may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer or its affiliate network may use a cookie to attribute a purchase to us. This does not change your price. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
Third party services
Pages may load resources from third parties such as Google Fonts (for typography), YouTube (for embedded or linked videos), and affiliate networks. These providers have their own privacy policies governing any data they collect.
Our social posting app (TikTok and Instagram)
We run a small private tool, "Sketchy Survival Poster," that publishes our own original cartoon videos from our own channel to our own TikTok and Instagram accounts through the official TikTok and Instagram APIs. It is not offered to the public and no viewer or outside user signs in to it.
- What it stores. Only the authorization tokens that TikTok and Instagram issue for our own accounts, kept locally on our own computer. Nothing is stored on a server.
- What it reads. Only our own account's basic profile info and posting limits, which the platforms require before a video can be posted.
- What it does not do. It does not collect, store, sell, or share any data about viewers, followers, or other users. It does not read comments, messages, or anyone else's content.
- Revoking access. We can revoke the tool's access at any time from the TikTok or Instagram app settings, and the local tokens are then deleted.
Data deletion
Our posting tool keeps no data about anyone except our own account tokens, so there is normally nothing of yours to delete. If you believe we hold any data about you, or you connected an account to "Sketchy Survival Poster" and want it removed, here is how:
- Remove the connection yourself. On Instagram, open Settings, then Website permissions (Apps and websites), find Sketchy Survival Poster and tap Remove. On TikTok, open Settings and privacy, then Security and permissions, then Apps and services permissions, and remove Sketchy Survival Poster. This revokes the token right away.
- Ask us to delete it. Email the address on our contact page with the subject "Data deletion request". We delete any stored token or record within 30 days and reply to confirm.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not prevent you from reading anything on this site.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site grows. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
